9 – Flight

This history of these knives plays an important role in what the artist is getting at. Often food that is chopped with these kinds of knife will have been hand prepared from start to finish.

8 –The March

How on earth you start carving into the actual blade of a knife is beyond me, let alone shape it and bend it into these amazing sculptures.

7 – Wild Cat

I hunted all over the place, but I couldn’t even work out how he cuts the knife in the first place. But maybe that is just the sign of a good arthritis.

I am not sure which I like more, is it the silhouette cut from the knife, or is it the empty silhouette within the knife?

5 – The Hunter

What I want to know is how on earth do you realise you can do this? Are you suddenly cutting a knife sculpture without knowing how you did it?!?

4 – Wilderness

Most of the sculptures are about the heritage of the food that is often cooked with them, or the way family’s would hunt, kill and cook the meals.

3 – Pondlife

I am not sure they would eat frogs, but then again I would imagine it would taste rather nice, after all the French have been eating them for years!

I’m sure there is some sort of political statement behind many of the works of art you have seen here today. The details in these last 2 carvings is mind-blowing!

This last one sank my heart a little bit, as I am sure it is a part of the food story I would rather not know about. But the sculpture is just as amazing as the first.
